John Hansell on How To Store Your Whisky

John Hansell at the Malt Advocate has a great thread going on techniques for storing whisky. It’s not rocket science, but there’s some good advice. Among other things it is suggested to:

1) Keep bottles out of direct sunlight

2) Use inert gas or a marble to displace the air in the bottle

3) Keep an eye on bottles and crack open any that are losing volume

4) Keep a supply of spare corks on hand in case some break
